But my journey as a cleaner started in 2006 when I left my home country, Brazil, to embark on an adventure in a new country in search of better opportunities. My first job was with a cleaning company called Queenstown Cleaners in Queenstown, New Zealand. At this company, I learned to perform various types of work, such as domestic cleaning, end of lease cleaning, spring cleaning, office cleaning, pub cleaning, construction cleaning, backpacker hotel cleaning, and airport cleaning. Two years later, I started working in a hotel as housekeeping. In 2010, I arrived in Australia, and my first job was as housekeeping for an agency that serviced the Quarantine Station Hotel and the Novotel, where I worked casually. During the low season, the workload always decreased, which led me to look for other work opportunities.

Then, in 2011, I bought my first car, some products and equipment, and began taking on some domestic cleaning jobs on my own. And that's when Serious About Cleaning was born! I started focusing on providing a unique service, combining all the experiences I had gained up until that point into one comprehensive service! I offered my clients not just traditional cleaning, but an extra level of care, a special touch, by combining domestic cleaning with housekeeping services. As a result, I built my client base solely through referrals from my existing clients! Many of them are still with me today!

Now, I can no longer handle all the work on my own, so I have trained a team of women, teaching them the techniques I’ve developed over the years and the unique approach I offer, to help me continue providing excellent service to my loyal clients.

My purpose is to assist families who lead busy lives with work, study, or those who have recently become mothers and are struggling to manage the cleaning and organisation of their homes. My goal is to offer more quality time for families or for their personal space, with a clean and organised environment, so they don’t have to worry about life's necessary tasks like cleaning and organisation, bringing peace of mind with a fresh, clean, and organised environment without any effort!
